NEW YORK, NY – June 25, 2018 – Berkadia today announced the addition of Senior Director Brittany Robinson and Associate Director Brooks Minford to its industry-leading Seniors Housing & Healthcare team.

Robinson joins the mortgage banking team, reporting into Senior Managing Director Heidi Brunet, and will be based in Cincinnati, Ohio. Minford joins the investment sales team and will report to Tim Cobb, Investment Sales Leader for the Seniors Housing and Healthcare team, out of the firm’s D.C. Metro office.

Robinson and Minford will focus on cultivating and capitalizing on opportunities in the seniors housing space, growing Berkadia’s presence on both the mortgage banking and investment sales sides, respectively.

“Brittany joins our team with a wealth of experience, strong relationships and enthusiasm for the industry,” said Brunet. “We see plenty of opportunity and activity in the remainder 2018 and the years ahead. In the complex and competitive environment we work in, Brittany’s experience and relationships are an invaluable asset as we continue to relentlessly pursue our mission of providing our clients with the best solutions for housing and care for senior communities.”

Robinson joins Berkadia from Welltower, a leading provider of real estate capital for seniors housing operators, post-acute care providers and health systems. She was responsible for business development initiatives, managing relationships with Welltower’s top operating partners and evaluating over $5 billion in investment opportunities in seniors housing, post acute, and medical office. Robinson earned her Bachelors of Business Administration from Miami University.

“The year is off to strong start and we anticipate continued activity, particularly in the Southeast, where there remains lots of market opportunity,” said Cobb. “We’re excited for Brooks to join our team to expand our capacity to support our clients in finding the best opportunities to achieve their goals.”

Prior to Berkadia, Minford was a member of Marcus & Millichap’s senior housing group. He has been involved in the underwriting, marketing and execution of more than $250 million worth of seniors housing facilities across the United States. Minford earned his Bachelor of Science Business Administration from High Point University.

Berkadia’s Seniors Housing and Healthcare Group leads the industry in innovative and comprehensive solutions for even the most complex independent living, assisted living, memory care and skilled nursing projects across the country. In addition to deep market knowledge, the group offers a full set of advisory, underwriting, loan origination services and products including FHA, Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, Life Company, Proprietary Bridge Lending and Capital Markets Advisory Services.
