Asheville, N.C. (April 4, 2018) – Berkadia announces it has arranged $18.75 million in acquisition financing for The Views, a 160-unit garden style multifamily community located in Asheville. Senior Managing Director Mitch Sinberg, Senior Managing Director Robert Falese, Associate Director Matthew Robbins, and Associate Director Jeremy Lynch represented the buyer, Goldelm, a real estate management and development firm based in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Michaelson Group, a real estate management, development, and investment firm based in Jacksonville, Florida, will be the property manager.

Fannie Mae originated the 12-year, fixed rate loan with a competitive interest rate and six years of interest only. The loan was arranged through Fannie Mae’s Green Rewards program.

“Asheville’s economic trends have strengthened its multifamily sector, with GE Aviation’s $105 million investment serving as the latest indicator of a rising job market,” said Robbins. “We can expect to see continued growth and activity in states such as North Carolina, where population rates continue to climb.”

Built in 1993, The Views is located at 1680 Hendersonville Road. One-, two-, and three-bedroom units include dishwasher, granite countertops, stainless steel appliances, range, high speed internet access, and wheelchair accessibility. Community amenities include a sparkling swimming pool, fitness center, basketball court, clubhouse, lounge, corporate suites, coffee bar, and storage space.

Situated in suburban Asheville, The Views is less than five minutes away from Sweeten Creek Road and less than 20 minutes away from downtown Asheville, offering access to major employment and education centers. University of North Carolina Asheville is only 20 minutes away, and Asheville-Buncombe Technical Community College is less than 15 minutes away. Mission Hospital is about 15 minutes away, as well as Asheville Regional Airport.
