Berkadia Secures Over $29 Million in Financing for Multifamily Property in Wisconsin

CHICAGO and HOUSTON – January 5, 2022 – Berkadia announced today the financing secured for Country Meadows, a 466-unit garden-style multifamily property located in Madison, Wisconsin. Managing Director Jason Bond of Berkadia Chicago and Managing Director Joel Kirstein of Berkadia Houston secured the $29.035 million in permanent acquisition financing on behalf of the borrower, Illinois-based Bender Companies. The deal closed on November 30.

The 10-year loan was financed through Freddie Mac. 

Located at 6840 Schroeder Road, Country Meadows features studio-, one- and two-bedroom floorplans with walk-in closets and private balconies or patios. Community amenities include a swimming pool, two tennis courts and a sun deck. Residents are afforded convenient access to Pleasant View Golf Course, Verona Beach, University of Madison-Wisconsin, Lake Mendota, the University of Wisconsin-Madison Arboretum and the shops and restaurants near Frank Lloyd Wright Memorial Highway.
