Ben Harris is a Director in the Los Angeles Mortgage Banking office for Berkadia.  Mr. Harris joined Berkadia in 2015 and is responsible mortgage originations across a diverse set of asset classes. Since joining Berkadia, he has analyzed and underwritten in excess of $2 billion in transactions for various capital sources including the GSEs, life insurance companies, CMBS, debt funds and banks.

Mr. Harris is an expert on GSE Green financing. He was responsible for the origination of several of Fannie Mae's initial Green Rewards loans and subsequently advised Freddie Mac on the development of their Green Up program.

Prior to joining Berkadia, Mr. Harris was an Assistant Area Director for AIPAC, where he helped manage 5 Congressional Districts from Pasadena to Santa Barbara. Ben has also served as a Deputy to Congressman Brad Sherman, and for then Councilman Eric Garcetti.

Mr. Harris received his BA from Pitzer College, where he was awarded the prestigious Robert Day Scholarship for finance and leadership, graduating with honors in both Economics and Political Science.
