Joe has a diverse background on the operations and development side of multifamily real estate having worked on many LIHTC, work force and special needs housing projects. Those projects include developing or financing housing for veterans, persons recovering from chronic mental illness, deaf seniors, homeless persons, families and seniors.
Joe served as a Director with Cardinal Capital Management for the past 15 years where he oversaw Information and Technology, Property Insurance, Construction Bonding, Social Services HUD Programs and worked as an Asset Manager. He was a critical member of Cardinal’s development division, working on equity acquisitions and asset management for Section 8, Section 42, market and commercial properties helping close nearly $500M in projects. He has extensive experience working with non-profit housing providers and affordable housing grant writing.
Joe has tackled hundreds of issues and helped shape deals in Wisconsin, Iowa, Colorado and Arizona. Assisting in the technologic footprint of all projects as well as working though asset management issues, construction issues, insurance and bonding questions, working with 3rd party vendors through the entire development, construction and operations process.
Joe is excited to help our clients tackle some of the most complex and important housing opportunities in communities across the country and is a natural complement to and extension of our Milwaukee office expertise in senior housing and assisted living facilities, LIHTC, special needs housing, Opportunity Zone and workforce housing.
